Trio Detektif yang dalam judul aslinya Alfred Hitchcock and the Three Investigators adalah seri novel detektif. Seri orisinil novel populer ini diedarkan antara 1964 sampai 1987 yang terdiri dari 43 buku. Walaupun judulnya mencantumkan nama Alfred Hitchcock, tetapi sebenarnya tidak ada buku yang ditulis oleh Alfred Hitchcock sendiri. Random House, penerbit seri novel tersebut membayar Alfred Hitchcock agar namanya dicantumkan pada seri novel tersebut untuk menarik perhatian pembeli. Seri buku ini awalnya ditulis oleh Robert Arthur, Jr. yang menulis buku ke 1 sampai 9 serta buku ke-11.
Karakter dalam Trio Detektif1. Jupiter “Jupe” Jones, Penyelidik Pertama – Seorang mantan aktor cilik, Jupiter adalah seorang yang pintar dan memiliki ingatan kuat serta kemampuan deduktif. Jupiter adalah anak yatim piatu yang tinggal bersama pamannya Titus Jones dan bibi Matilda.
2. Peter “Pete” Crenshaw, Penyelidik Kedua – Pete adalah seorang atlit atletik yang tidak menyukai situasi berbahaya tetapi sering menjadi andalan dalam beberapa situasi yang memerlukan aksi. Ayahnya adalah seorang ahli efek khusus di Hollywood.
3. Robert “Bob” Andrews, Dokumentasi dan Penelitian – Bob digambarkan sebagai seorang yang suka belajar dan memakai kaca mata. Bob bekerja sebagai pegawai paruh waktu di perpustakaan sehingga cocok dengan perannya sebagai pengumpul data.
